SKILL vs. ATHLETICISM: WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT

OPTIMIZE SKILL

"Speed kills" is a common quote in athletics. Speed is not a 'skill' but instead a tool that takes athletes to the next level by potentially making up for a lack of 'skill'. We say the say thing with athleticism, how often do you see the most athletic individual sitting on the bench? The answer to this question is HARDLY EVER, especially at the high school and collegiate levels.

Everyone focuses on skill, skill, skill. Yes we need skill but guess what, if we have skill without optimal athleticism, we are UNDERACHIEVING. Athleticism doesn't only optimize your skill, but can make up for you weaknesses as a player of any sport. We TRAIN ATHLETICISM with different forms of resistance and technology to simulate real life situations and therefore see DIRECT CORRELATION to the playing field.
